Course introduction:
This presentation will discuss the evidence surrounding Speech in Noise testing and outline the utility of performing aided, directional, speech in noise testing with QuickSIN. Implementation of sound-field testing with the objective of measuring the performance of directionality in hearing aids will also be reviewed to better understand the amplification requirements of our patients.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this seminar the participants will be able to:
• list the advantages of performing Directional SIN testing
• Discuss the evidence surrounding speech in noise testing in greater detail
• List the component parts and of a directional Speech in Noise sound-field set up. i.e. equipment required
