Applications for Hearing Instrument Fittings and Beyond

Hearing instrument test boxes can provide clinicians with invaluable information about hearing instrument function, from evaluating technical status using electroacoustic analysis to assessing gain and output and advanced feature performance. This course will highlight the process for each of these using the Otometrics Aurical HIT. Additionally, clinical applications for these techniques will be overviewed.

Learning Outcomes

 

  • After this course learners will be able to identify the benefits of using a hearing instrument test box in the fitting clinic.
  • After this course learners will be able to list the steps for programming/pre-programming hearing instruments using Aurical HIT.
  • After this course learners will be able to describe the feature-to-benefit comparison for noise reduction and directionality features.
